What to look for in a bicycle helmet for women
Fit matters most: a helmet only protects properly if it sits right. Measure your head circumference with a tape measure and pick the right size from our size chart. If you are between two sizes, we recommend the larger one. Every Melon helmet can be adjusted precisely to your head size for a secure, comfortable fit.
Weight makes a difference in everyday riding, too. Urban Active helmets weigh less than 300 grams, the E-Series less than 400 grams, so you hardly notice them even on longer rides. Both series are tested to EN 1078.
Urban Active or E-Series: which helmet suits you?
The Urban Active is the all-rounder for everyday use. It has a magnetic Fidlock buckle, is continuously adjustable with the Spin Dial and comes with replaceable pads in three thicknesses. It’s also available in a particularly wide range of designs.
The E-Series is the bicycle helmet with lights: with front and rear light you’re highly visible, for example on the way home in the dark or at dusk.

Which size do I need?
Measure your head circumference with a tape measure, once around and level. The size chart shows you the right size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
Can I wear the helmet on an e-bike?
Yes. Urban Active and E-Series helmets are suitable for riding e-bikes according to CE EN 1078. They are not approved for S-Pedelecs.
Are there bicycle helmets for women with lights?
Yes, the E-Series has a front and a rear light.
